Canine Glaucoma impacts millions of dogs every year and yet there is little known about the diseases causes, mechanisms, or how to stop it. Newly diagnosed dog guardians are often confused and devastated by the diagnosis. Even the gold-standard of treatment with laser surgery costing upwards of $5,000 USD per eye is not guaranteed to save the eye for more than a year. The Canine Glaucoma Foundation seeks to raise awareness of this terrible disease, to support the community of dogs and families dealing with the diagnosis, and ultimately to support the most promising research toward finding a cure.
